fire flies

fire flies
every time I see you
you were there and I here
but
together we conquered my fear
fireflies
bright and flickering
before me
lighting up
a dark blu sky
I saw them
you did not
you were listening
listening so well
you saw me instead
you listened
as i paced inside your head
A smile brushed across my face
you said
smile
and I did
fire flies
when you see me

  1. I missed them, overwhelmed with images of pacing and frustration, a painted picture casting a blanket of theatrics and unwelcomed control; the air became cool, my shirt lost, the moon practically full, all weren't necessary to keep us from knowing Murphy: I still believe the room was bugged.

  2. The feelings are deep and confused. Long love lost only to be seen misting away. Desperate to reach at the fading, sinking hand.

Please surface, surface for air. Breath! Breath!

My lungs are tight. I can't exhale with fear of loosing my last breath of you.

The drifting watery image is all I see.

Please let me plung in, I need to save some one. Myself.

The desire of acceptence, the need is over whelming.

Many moon rises seen through our eyes can't be forgotten, only stored deep in the watery depths.

    Surface!

    Surface!

    Breath.

Just one long large longing breath to fill your life, your lungs again.

To change your blue lips to life red.

    Surface!

The moon will wane, but my love for you continues to wax.

    Breath!

    Breath!

    Surface!

And if your hand is outstreatched, this time I will help.

  3. Only as we were returning, I became aware; dancing along your hand's edge, a tiny creature was found below our towering bodies: blinking an illuminating signal of hope, and for just a fragment of time, it's life was in our hands, captured by unfaltering fascination. Suddenly, and as quickly as it appeared, it's majestic life vanished into the night, leaving but a moment of astonished exuberance.
